Student Certification

HBI offers students the opportunity to certify that they have the skills required of an entry level employee in the home building industry in any of the trades taught through HBI’s Residential Academy Series of textbooks and instructional materials. Certification testing is delivered through NOCTI and is  available for high school, post-secondary and industry students for the Basic Principles of Construction, Carpentry, Facilities Maintenance, House Wiring, HVAC, Masonry and Plumbing.

HBI SEEKS MENTORS

HBI seeks experienced workers from the home building industry to volunteer as mentors for youth in 28 cities in 11 southern states. HBI’s C-CORE program matches teens ages 16-18 with adult mentors from any facet of the home building industry who encourage them to consider careers in home building and coach them toward success.  » READ MORE
