The Curriculum & Instructors

HBI works closely with the home building industry to provide current and effective training. Based on standards developed by residential construction experts and educators, HBI Job Corps programs use the Residential Construction Academy Series to support hands-on training. Curriculum also includes green building techniques based on the ANSI-approved National Green Building Standard™. All HBI instructors are trained to use these tools effectively.

HBI instructors also have at least seven years experience in the trade they teach, an Ohio State University/HBI Instructor Certificate and CPR and First Aid certificates.  Required completion of OSHA 500 and 502 classes authorizes instructors to deliver OSHA 10 safety training.
