YouthBuild
HBI's YouthBuild programs offer economically disadvantaged youth access to industry-sponsored career and technical education training while increasing the supply of affordable housing for homeless and low-income people.
HBI students go to school while they earn a pre-apprenticeship certificate and rehabilitate and build houses for the poor in their communities through YouthBuild programs in Bridgeport, Conn.; Burlington, Iowa; Pinellas and Tampa, Fla.; and Tappahannock, Va.
HBI's YouthBuild programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Labor and include partnerships with local workforce investment boards, housing authorities, unions, community colleges and non-profit organizations.
