Prospective Members
The top students in any academic discipline join pre-professional organizations like NAHB Student Chapters. Membership is an opportunity for students to work with experienced builders and gain first-hand knowledge of the home building industry to prepare for a successful career.

How HBAs Get Involved
The local home builder association (HBA) is an essential part of the operations of any NAHB Student Chapter. Each NAHB Student Chapter is chartered by the NAHB Board of Directors through the local HBA. The relationship between the local HBA and its NAHB Student Chapter varies a great deal from one chapter to another but a close relationship between the students, faculty, HBA staff and HBA membership is highly encouraged.

Residential Construction Management Competition
The NAHB Student Chapters’ Residential Construction Management Competition (RCMC) is one of the highlights of the International Builders' Show (IBS), the premier event for NAHB Student Chapters to network with builders across the country. The RCMC is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their ability to solve construction-related problems by working on real-life construction projects.
