HBI curricula is designed in collaboration with experts in the home building industry and based on nationally-recognized construction skill standards:

Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training: The Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) curriculum is a home building industry-validated construction curriculum specifically designed to teach special populations including academically-challenged individuals. HBI uses the PACT curriculum in its Project CRAFT, Project TRADE, Operation Reconstruct and YouthBuild programs

Residential Construction Designation: The Residential Construction Superintendent Designation is designed by industry subject matter experts to prepare promising field superintendents, administrative personnel, associate members, trade foremen, builder members and others to excel in this position.

HBI SEEKS MENTORS

HBI seeks experienced workers from the home building industry to volunteer as mentors for youth in 28 cities in 11 southern states. HBI’s C-CORE program matches teens ages 16-18 with adult mentors from any facet of the home building industry who encourage them to consider careers in home building and coach them toward success.  » READ MORE
