Standards

HBI training, curricula and instructional materials are based on national standards created by the residential construction industry:

National Construction Skills Standards:
HBI has collaborated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) to create the National Construction Skills Standards. These standards reflect the home building industry’s skill requirements for entry, semi-skilled and skilled levels of job proficiency in the residential construction trades.

The National Green Building Standard
As the nation’s leader in residential construction training and education, HBI has been incorporating environmentally friendly, energy-efficient practices into its curriculum for many years.
