HBI offers workforce development technical assistance to organizations that train and develop the careers of members of the home building industry:

Apprenticeship Program Guidelines for HBAs:
HBI can help local home builders associations (HBAs) and their builder members implement craft skills apprenticeship programs that are sensible, affordable and meet their needs.

HBI Safety and Health Board:
HBI values workplace safety and the health and wellness of employees and students.  The HBI Safety & Health Board maintains this value by promoting a safe work environment through annual events, activities, reporting and safety resources. 

YouthBuild USA:
The U.S. Department of Labor’s YouthBuild USA program offers low-income youth across America access to housing industry-sponsored career and technical education trades training in their local communities as a first step in building a career in residential construction.

HBI SEEKS MENTORS

HBI seeks experienced workers from the home building industry to volunteer as mentors for youth in 28 cities in 11 southern states. HBI’s C-CORE program matches teens ages 16-18 with adult mentors from any facet of the home building industry who encourage them to consider careers in home building and coach them toward success.  » READ MORE
