National Housing Endowment
The National Housing Endowment, the philanthropic arm of the National Association of Home Builders, has been improving the educational opportunities available to students focused on residential construction and related industries through systemic change as well as significant financial support of students in the residential construction field. The National Housing Endowment offers thousands of dollars in scholarships to qualifying students each year along with grants to help fund and maintain the residential construction programs at various universities. In 2006, the National Housing Endowment launched the Homebuilding Education Leadership Program (HELP) the cornerstone of its education effort. Through this program, the Endowment established closer relationships with institutions of higher education by awarding major two-year seed grants to leading two and four year colleges and universities to help them create, expand, or enhance existing residential construction management programs or develop new programs. One of HELP’s key goals is to increase the number of qualified college graduates entering the residential construction profession.
