NAHB Student Chapters
Housed under the Residential Construction Academy, and funded by NAHB, corporate partners, and student member dues, the NAHB Student Chapters program helps to enrich the educational experience of students enrolled in construction-related fields such as construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate, and the trades.

U.S. Department of Labor
HBI has partnered with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program for over 30 years, training and placing more than 2,000 young people annually in the residential construction industry.

Project CRAFT/Nashville
Project CRAFT/Nashville is one of ten programs funded by DOL’s Reintegration of Youth Offenders as an Accountability Based Transition to Employment Model conducted in partnership with several local and state organizations including the Davidson Country Drug Court, the first residential drug court in the country and the Tennessee Department of Correction.
Department of Education/PWI
HBI is funded by the Department of Education’s “Projects With Industry” to provide Project HOPE training in Columbia, South Carolina. The program is a joint venture between HBI and the Disability Action Center, Inc., and offers trades training and other supportive services to people with disabilities.
Florida Department of Juvenile Justice
The Florida DJJ funds HBI’s Craft Skills programs in the state of Florida.

Delmar Cengage Learning
Delmar Cengage Learning and HBI partnered to develop the Residential Construction Academy Series of instructional materials. The company is the leading provider of lifelong learning products and services for many technical and career-oriented markets, providing training and reference books, multimedia, and custom publishing solutions.
Corporate Partners Program
The NAHB Student Chapters program helps to enrich the educational experience of students enrolled in construction-related fields such as construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate, and the trades.
HBI/Lowe’s Building Careers Scholarship
Lowe’s Companies Inc. has now contributed a total of $150,00 to HBI to establish and maintain the HBI/Lowe’s Building Careers Scholarship Fund, which helps the institute’s Job Corps graduates make successful transitions to full-time employment in the housing industry.
Sed de Saber™ - Home Builders Edition
Sed de Saber™ (“Thirst for Knowledge”) — Home Builders Edition is being developed in partnership with Retention Education, LLC, as an English as a Second Language (ESL) learning tool for the residential construction industry.
Home Builder Associations (HBAs)
Several of HBI’s programs are operated in partnership with local Home Builders Associations and play a critical role in assisting HBI students learn about the industry and get a foothold in its workforce.
Other Organizations
ComCor, Inc.
ComCor, Inc. funds HBI’s Project TRADE program in Colorado Springs, CO. ComCor is a non-profit community corrections agency that provides correctional services and treatment programs for offenders who are working to make a positive change in their lives.
Phoenix House
In the fall of 2005, HBI opened its newest Project TRADE facility in Ocala, Fla. The training site is operated in partnership with nationwide drug and alcohol treatment center Phoenix House and will train students to fill the 10,000 home building vacancies in the state of Florida.
